For the last few years, I've been absorbing the news through a Google Reader feed (and the NY Times before the paywall), and after years of feeling too young or too uninformed to feel confident engaging in discussion, I now feel like I have something to say that someone might want to hear. Maybe.
Please, and I can't stress this enough, please disagree with me in the comments section. I'm just another American that wants to talk about stuff and I've never been much for monologues. I want to know when someone things I'm wrong, and not just in a trolling FUCK YOU, but actually why and where I'm misinformed, lacking perspective, or coming from a different set of assumptions. Public discourse is intended to pit different truths against each other to find a more refined truth in the aftermath.
